BALTIMORE, MD, February 25, 2025 – In an era in which influencer marketing dominates digital platforms, a groundbreaking study in the INFORMS journal Management Science unveils a surprising reality: sponsored content can harm an influencer’s reputation and reduce audience engagement.
On Jan. 21, OpenAI launched the $500 billion Stargate Project with partners like Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Oracle. This initiative aimed to secure American AI leadership, create jobs, and boost the economy. Initially, this boosted the stock prices of these companies.
Living in limbo: An estimated 2 million U. S. federal employees were thrust into a decision they did not seek to make. A deadline from the Trump Administration was halted last week, and is now in the hands of a judge. When a deadline is set those employees will have to make a high-stakes choice: Take a buyout and resign, or they can choose to stay in an uncertain job environment, including the possibility of being laid-off or having significant changes in work duties or leave with a buyout. This current reprieve gives these federal employees a little more time, but the fundamental question for each of them remains: What’s the right move for your career and future?

In the first year of COVID we became armchair experts in infectious disease. The next, we earned our PhD’s in global supply chains, chalking up the months-long wait times for new screen doors and patio furniture to that container ship stuck in the Suez Canal. Most recently, it’s baby formula that’s been affected by disrupted global supply chains.
The Census Bureau announced last week that their estimates of each state’s population had errors, resulting in six states with undercounts and eight states with overcounts. This may shock, or at the very least, disturb some people, who believe that the process of tabulating the nation’s population should be precise and accurate.
Throughout the pandemic, many workers have said they'd quit if employers forced them back to the office. In March, Robert Half, a global recruiting firm, released a survey that revealed 50% of US workers would rather resign than be forced back to the office full-time.
The Transportation Security Administration employs multiple layers to provide a secure air system for travelers. Technologies like millimeter wave advanced imaging scanners for passenger screening and computerized tomography explosive-detection systems for checked baggage screening are some of the key devices deployed at airports. Anytime a new technology is introduced, it should provide benefits that enhance air system security and improve the passenger experience, such as in the form of reduced waiting times.
