The goal of the annual Workshop on Computational Geometry is to provide a forum for scientists from both academia and industry to meet, present their work, interact, and establish collaborations, in order to promote research in the field of Computational Geometry. It aims to provide an informal atmosphere through which both established and young researchers will have a productive exchange of ideas and collaboration.
The 22nd European Workshop on Computational Geometry will take place at the European Cultural Center of Delphi, Greece, from March 27 to March 29, 2006.
TOPICS
------
Topics of interest to this workshop include, but are not limited to:
* Design and analysis of geometric algorithms and data structures
including
o theoretical issues arising from implementations,
o combinatorial geometry,
o analysis of geometric configurations.
* Applications of computational geometry to
o robotics and virtual worlds,
o computer graphics,
o simulation and visualization,
o image processing,
o geometric and solid modeling,
o computer aided geometric design,
o manufacturing,
o geographical information systems,
o structural molecular biology.
INVITED SPEAKERS
----------------
o Bernard Chazelle, Princeton University, USA
o Monique Teillaud, INRIA Sophia-Antipolis, France
o (T.B.A.)
SUBMISSIONS
-----------
Submissions consist of a brief abstract (up to 4 pages) to be received by January 16th, 2006; the abstracts will be collected and distributed among the participants at the workshop. There will be no other proceedings, so the presented work may later appear in a more complete form at another conference.
