10th. Annual Conference of the Society of Operations Management

The Annual Conference of the Society of Operations Managment will celebrate its 10th anniversary in December 2006. The Conference will be hosted by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. The SOM Conference is a small conference with about 100 participants and a doctoral consortium.
The theme of the 10th Annual SOM Conference is 'Innovation and Technology Management in Emerging Economies'. The SOM Conference in Ahmedabad aims to bring together academics and practitioners of Operations Management in the backdrop of increasing global competitiveness of the Indian manufacturing and service industries. It has become the annual event where colleagues from academia and industry around the world get together to present and discuss their new ideas and research. The three day conference will include various topics that reflect the breadth and depth of the discipline of Technology and Operations Management. A Doctoral consortium will be held on the first day of the conference (December 21, 2006) and will be followed by the Main Conference on the next two days (December 22-23, 2006).
